It is anticipated that the IPL auction for IPL 2024 will take place in Dubai on December 19. The list of players who have been released and retained by each of the ten teams must be submitted by November 15 in order for the auction pool to be made public by the first week of December.
The franchises assert that they have not received any formal notification from the BCCI on the date of the mini-auction; rather, they have been informed informally about the December 15-20 window. The auction was ultimately conducted in Kochi last year, although the BCCI had originally intended for it to take place in Istanbul. However, sources within the Board told Sportstar that “options are being explored,” with Dubai being “one of those” locations.
Every team will receive a purse of Rs 100 crore, which is an increase from the Rs 95 crore purse from the previous year. Naturally, the amount that each team may spend will depend on which players are kept and released.
In the meantime, there’s talk that the Women’s Premier League auction will take place the first week of December. Sources claim that no date has been decided upon yet, though. It is anticipated that the event will take place in February or March.
