Konami unveiled the first gameplay teaser for their upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake (Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater) at the Xbox Partner Preview conference. It appears stunning. The trailer, albeit short, demonstrated the gameplay’s hallmark stealth elements. From Snake making his way across the river near a crocodile to him poised to eliminate an adversary with a handgun fitted with a silencer attachment.
What to expect from the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake?
What’s more, the end of the trailer verified that the game will be played on Epic’s Unreal Engine 5, which is a confirmation of previous rumours that the much-awaited remake would be played on Unreal Engine. Aside from the brief gameplay, the teaser gave fans a decent peek at Metal Gear Solid 3’s Unreal Engine 5 gameplay, with close-ups of diverse animals like frogs swimming in the pond and snakes slithering across the grass.
During the Sony State of Play showcase in late May, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was officially renamed as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Many expressed confusion about the remake’s usage of the Delta (Δ) symbol in place of the number three. But, Konami clarified that the symbol represented the alterations made to the original game, which was released nearly 20 years earlier.
Even though the game has undergone certain modifications, some elements from the original Metal Gear Solid 3 will remain in the remake. More precisely, the vocal lines from the original game will be reused.
