Anish Bhanwala won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Asian Championships. He has qualified India for the shooting competition in the next Olympics in Paris. The event took place on Monday in Changwon, Korea, and was part of the men's 25-meter rapid pistol fire competition.
The 21-year-old competitor from Karnal, who had 28 hits during the championship, was defeated in a shootout by Dai Yoshioka of Japan, who went on to win the silver medal. Lee Gunhyeok, a fan favourite from the area, ended up winning the competition.
