Behrendorff Out, Wood In

Australian fast bowler Jason Behrendorff will miss the IPL due to an injury, prompting MI to seek a replacement. They’ve found their man in Luke Wood, a left-arm pacer with experience in both international T20s and domestic cricket.

Wood’s Credentials

The 28-year-old Wood has represented England in five T20 Internationals, claiming eight wickets. In his overall T20 career spanning 140 matches, he has a very impressive record of 147 wickets at a miserly economy rate of 8.45.

Adding Depth to the Mumbai Indians Bowling Attack

Wood’s signing adds depth to the MI bowling attack, which already features the likes of Jasprit Bumrah. His experience and wicket-taking prowess will be valuable assets for the five-time IPL champions.

The Mumbai Indians have acquired Wood’s services for a sum of Rs. 50 Lakh, bolstering their squad for the upcoming season.
