India nearly achieved their highest-ever medal total at the Asian Para Games on Day 3, winning 30 medals in Hangzhou on Wednesday. The highlight of the day went to Tokyo Paralympics winner Sumit Antil, who once again broke his own World Record by tossing a tremendous 73.29-meter javelin throw in the Men’s Javelin Throw-F64 for an incredible gold.
Ankur Dhama, who won the Men’s 1500m-T11 title in Hangzhou in addition to the Men’s 5000m-T11 title he had previously won, was another outstanding athlete.

Indians won gold medals in three separate categories for men’s javelin throw, with Haney and Sundar Singh Gurjar joining Sumit. In the Men’s Javelin Throw-F46, Sundar led an Indian sweeping victory.
As track and field remained the main contributor to the Indian total, medals for badminton, table tennis and archery also arrived.

At the end of the third day, India had amassed 64 medals in total—15 gold, 20 silver, and 29 bronze.
